One of the best way to keep your mind calm and relax

Exercise for getting into a great emotional state and vibration:
Take 30 Seconds right now and close your eyes, take a couple of deep breaths and just think about how blessed you are and all the things you can be grateful for!
Think about your life, your health, your family and all the amazing things we can sometime take for granted.

Good Idea~ How to clean leather

article grabbed from here :)

How to Clean Leather

"Is that bearnaise sauce on my handbag?"
Leather is expensive, and we're conditioned to think of it as a delicate material. So it's natural that an industry has developed to service our fear of damaging a valuable piece of leather in the process of cleaning it. But in fact, though leather can definitely be mistreated, it's tougher than we usually give it credit for. After all, most of its usefulness is based on its durability.
Most of the time when you clean leather, you simply need to avoid drying it out or changing its appearance. With these concerns in mind, you can spend a lot of money on leather cleaning products. But if you're working with finished leather, which has a slight sheen and is the type you see most often on jackets, boots, and furniture, you can use a couple of products you probably already have on hand. They'll do just as good of a job, cost you next to nothing, and free you from worrying about chemicals in commercial leather cleaners that you could be storing in your home, inhaling, or allowing to touch your skin. If the leather you want to clean is unfinished like a baseball glove, or has a soft nap like suede, you'll have more trouble cleaning it yourself; the method below may not work, and will probably damage the leather.

Steps to Cleaning Leather

First, get your supplies together: you'll need gentle hand soap (in the interest of keeping this project green, I grabbed a bottle of Method Hand Wash out of my bathroom), olive oil, and a few soft, clean rags. You'll need water, too, but you can get that straight from the tap. Then, before you jump into cleaning your whole couch or that stain on the front of your jacket, it's important to test the cleaning method from start to finish in a small, hidden place, just to make sure it won't lighten, darken, or dry your specific piece of leather.
Once you're ready to get started, you'll need to prepare a rag by dampening it and applying a little soap. Get the whole rag wet if you're cleaning a large area, but for small stains it should be sufficient to run a corner of the rag under the tap. Either way, remember that the rag should be just slightly damp, not soaking wet; squeeze out any excess water before pumping a small amount of hand soap onto the rag.
Rub the rag against itself a little to work the soap into the cloth before you begin cleaning. You don't want to apply a glob of soap to a piece of leather. Instead, gently rub a light lather onto the leather until it appears clean.
Next, slightly dampen another rag to wipe any soap residue from the leather. Because even finished leather is not completely water-repellant, you should never rinse it with a very wet rag or by running water directly over it. Using a rag with a minimal amount of water on it protects the leather from absorbing enough water to become damaged.
Use a dry rag to remove the light film of excess water that may be on the surface of the leather after rinsing. Before moving on to the next step, it's a good idea to also let the item sit for a few minutes to air dry in case the leather has absorbed water during cleaning.
Finally, you should always condition leather after cleaning, since the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. This is where the olive oil comes in. Put a very small amount of olive oil on a dry cloth and rub it into the leather. Using too much oil will make the leather greasy or sticky and attract dirt, so it's crucial to apply only a tiny amount; if the leather is darker or shinier after oiling, you've used too much. I was very happy with this method of cleaning leather; when I finished, my jacket looked exactly the same—except, of course, it's clean now.

Buying Eco-Friendly Leather

Leather is a natural product, right? Well, not so much anymore. Animal hides provide the raw material for leather, but that's where "natural" ends and "environmental nightmare" usually begins. And "natural," unfortunately, is not synonymous with "cruelty-free." Animals raised for leather live in the same deplorable conditions as animals raised for meat—and they aren't necessarily the same animals. That means leather products are not simply a conscientious use of the skins of animals that were going to be eaten anyway. Then, once the hides enter the tanning and finishing process, they are bombarded with acids and decidedly unnatural chemicals. The leather-making process uses large quantities of fossil fuels, contributes heavily to greenhouse gas emissions, and creates wastewater full of sulfides, heavy metals, and carcinogens.
Fortunately, though, some leather companies are making an effort to limit their environmental impact. For most, that means using alternative energy sources, tracking their greenhouse gas emissions, recycling water needed for production, treating wastewater before releasing it into the environment, and using leather pieces that would otherwise be wasted. One company, Organic Leather, bases its entire business on being environmentally friendly. They only use recycled leather and hides from animals that were raised organically or on family farms for the meat industry, and instead of chemicals, they process the leather with smoke or natural tannins and oils. These processes are drawn from traditional leather making and provide a rare opportunity to use leather products guilt-free.

Natural Leather Cleaners

Montana Pitch-Blend offers a range of products for various leather cleaning and conditioning situations. I like this company because they divulge their ingredients clearly and without hesitation, and those ingredients are primarily pine pitch, mink oil, and beeswax.
Leather Mate is a one-step leather cleaner and conditioner made from lanolin, carnauba wax, and other natural compounds. It's a biodegradable product with a 50-year history.
Oakwood Liquid Leather Cleaner and Leather Conditioning Cream are Australian products containing an array of natural oils and waxes, including tea tree oil, beeswax, eucalyptus and emu oil (who knew?). These sound like they would make your leather both look and smell pretty.

ideas for life~ credit cards can be duped!! BEWARE

Housewife stuck with debts from credit cards she does not own - Nation | The Star Online

Tuesday March 26, 2013

Left in the lurch: Chan showing the police reports she lodged during the press conference as Chor looks on.

ALOR SETAR: A 34-year-old housewife’s venture into business has turned awry after she was asked to settle a RM9,000 debt from credit cards she does not own.
Chan Ai Khim alleged that she had been duped by a 36-year-old man, who claimed to be an agent that could help her secure a bank loan for a small business selling fashion accessories.
“I met him in 2010 through a friend. He claimed that he could help me obtain a bank loan of up to RM100,000, so I gave him photocopies of my identity card, income tax statement and business registration certificate.
“When I asked him about my loan application status months later, he assured me that it would be done. On March 5, I received a lawyer’s letter and bank statements stating that I owed them money,” she said at a press conference organised by Alor Setar MCA in Jalan Pegawai on Sunday.
The man’s outlet in Plaza Tunku Yaacob Complex had also closed down, said Chan.
“I could no longer get in touch with him. I lodged a police report on March 21,” she said.
MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung said he had received many complaints on such similar cases.
“Banks should impose tighter rules for credit card applications. I will ask her (Chan) to write an official letter to the relevant banks explaining the situation,” he said.

technology~ How to increase lifespan of Laptop's Battery

People have doubts whether you can remove battery when your laptop is on ; People suffered lost from laptop battery's damage or repairing. No worries, I hope the article below really helpful enough to solve your problems!

Should I Remove My Laptop Battery To Increase its Life? [Geeks Weigh In]

laptop battery lifeDoes running your laptop on AC power damage the battery? Should you remove the battery to increase its lifetime? If you own a laptop, these questions have probably crossed your mind before. The short answer to both questions is: most likely yes. Curious to learn why? Continue reading for all the juicy details.
To support my arguments and recommendations made at the end of this article, I have to provide some background information. So let’s start with the basics…

How Does A Laptop Battery Work?

The type of battery found in laptops today is called Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion). In this type of battery, lithium ions are loosely embedded (intercalated) in the porous carbon of the anode (negative electrode). When the battery is used, the ions flow from the anode to the cathode (positive electrode) through the electrolyte and the separator. This process releases energy and results in a discharge of the battery. When charging, energy is applied to make the ions move in the opposite direction. A charge thus forces them to return to the anode.

How Do Lithium-Ion Batteries Age?

Theoretically, this process can go back and forth forever. Practically, however, the lifetime of a battery is limited. What happens is that ions get trapped and are no longer available to flow from the anode to the cathode. In other words, the battery loses capacity over time. In fact, Li-Ion batteries start aging the moment they are produced.

What Causes Lithium-Ion Batteries to Age?

Several things:
  1. High voltage and OverchargeLaptops typically have a charge threshold, which prevents overcharging and high voltage. However, constantly keeping the battery at a full charge also is a stress factor that contributes to aging.
  2. HeatRoom temperature (21°C / 70°F) or higher temperatures promote chemical reactions, ultimately causing Li-Ion batteries to lose capacity.
  3. Low TemperaturesTemperatures below 0°C (32°F) can damage materials inside the battery.
  4. Prolonged StorageLi-Ion batteries self-discharge at a rate of approximately 8% per month at 21°C (70°F). This increases with higher temperatures. When stored over long periods of time, the battery can reach a state of deep discharge (charge below 20%).
  5. Physical ShocksBatteries can break.

To Remove or Not To Remove

As indicated in the introduction, the answer is: yes, remove the battery to extend its lifetime!
When you continuously run your laptop on a reliable AC power source, you should definitely remove your battery. Firstly, the battery will not be exposed to heat from your laptop. Secondly, there is not even a remote chance that it will be overcharged or exposed to high voltage. Hence, removing the battery eliminates the two main causes for battery aging.
When I say remove, I don’t mean that you should simply take out the battery. Please turn off your laptop, remove the battery, and then boot your laptop. For safety reasons, please do not remove the battery while your laptop is running.

What Should I Do To Increase My Battery Lifetime?

You can do multiple things. I wrote an entire article on this topic (link above). Below you will find a summary.
Proper treatment of a Li-Ion battery:
  • never discharge battery below 20%
  • always partially discharge, then recharge
  • cycle* battery every few weeks or after 30 partial dis/charges
  • charge at lower voltage (if possible)
  • never leave charged battery in laptop when running on AC power
* Cycle means that you discharge the battery to around 20% and then recharge it fully. Going below 20% equals a deep discharge, something you will want to avoid.
Preparing a Li-ion battery for storage:
  • charge battery to 40-50%
  • remove from laptop
  • put into an air-tight zip-lock bag
  • store in fridge at 4-8
  • re-charge to 40-50% every few weeks
When storing your battery, take note how fast it self-discharges and make sure it never goes below 20%.

self development~ words by Bill Gates

Bill Gates recently gave a Commencement speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1:
Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2:
The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3:
You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4:
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5:
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6:
If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes; learn from them.

Rule 7:
Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8:
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9:
Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10:
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11:
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you agree, pass it on.
If you can read this - Thank a teacher!

self development~ positive self-talk

POSITIVE SELF-TALK

POSITIVE THINKING IS NOT ENOUGH
Listen
Positive thinking isn’t enough.  Positive thinking is a world better than negative thinking, and positive programs run exceptionally well in my mind.  Thinking positive is great when I can do it, but I can’t always do it.  It doesn’t matter how positive I am, how many positive affirmations I have made, or how much positive programming I have done, when I trigger a negative neuroassociation, my mind instantly moves in a negative direction.  All my positive thinking is wiped out. Negative neuroassociations are weapons of mass destruction that instantly destroy a positive mind.

Positive neuroassociations are just the opposite.  They are a form of instant positive thinking.  When I trigger one of them, I immediately create a positive state of mind.

Most people are experts at creating and trigger negative neuroassociations.  Only a few people bother to create and trigger positive ones.  I keep a close watch on my itchy trigger finger.  I avoid negative neuroassociations like the plague, and I create and trigger positive ones many times each day.

HOW TO CREATE A POSITIVE NEUROASSOCIATION

You have dozens of neuroassociations at work in your life.  When you look at a picture of your workplace, you instantly feel positive or negative.  A picture of  your boss makes you immediately feel good or bad.  A picture of a beach sends a chill of fear up your spine because you once nearly drowned in the ocean.  All of those feelings, good and bad, were triggered by in image on paper.

Hundreds of triggers are embedded in your life, and those triggers are hard wired to your mind.  Pulling a negative trigger instantly makes you feel uncomfortable as negative emotions well-up in your mind.

Smart people install positive neuroassociations and embed positive triggers in their life.  They pull the positive trigger many times each day to instantly create a positive mind.

Triggers can be anything that you want.  Crossing your arms a particular way, touching your ear, putting your hand in your pocket, taking off your glasses, putting on your glasses, a smile - any of these things can be a trigger that is part of a positive neuroassociation.

Put your right hand in your pocket, and say, "An ounce of action is more powerful than a megaton of fear."  If you do this enough times, you will discover that every time you put your right hand in your pocket, those words will instantly pop into your mind.  Anytime you feel afraid, you can take action and send fear packing by simply putting your right hand in your pocket.  That's how easy it is to make a positive neuroassociation.

Making positive neuroassociations is easy, and you can use this tool  whenever you want to push your mind in a positive direction.

GUILTY AS CHARGED

Take a look at these fish.  They belong to a group called "Everyone Anonymous".  Almost all the fish in the sea belong to this not-so-exclusive group.  They distinguish themselves by always doing the same thing as everyone else.  They swim in the same direction, they turn together, dive together, and surface together.  They look exactly alike, and when the fish police put them in a line up, they can't pick out the good fish from the bad.  There's nothing to distinguish one fish from the other since they all look and act the same.

Being a member of "Everyone Anonymous" does have its perks.  There's  apparent safety in numbers, and that may keep them from being eaten.  On the other hand, their clone-like behavior may actually attract predators who have a sixth sense that allows them to detect weakness and easy prey.

If being like everyone else guaranteed a great life, then membership in "Everyone Anonymous" would be a good idea, but the opposite is true.  These drones lead dull predictable preprogrammed lives.  The script for life has already been written, and the outcome is sure.  They will never have a real life because they are always doing exactly what everyone else is doing.  They will never think an original thought or dream great dreams.
Every time I see a school of fish, I think about my life.  I ask myself If I am a member of "Everyone Anonymous."  When my life is over and on judgment day I stand in the final line up with all the rest, I hope millions of people can point their finger at me, pick me out of the line up, and say, "He's the one.  That's definitely him.  He's different from the rest.  He didn't conform, and he lived his dreams.  He's guilty as charged."

That's my master plan.  I want to be guilty of living my dreams.

The Positive Thinking Network has more than 100 positive web sites. Each site lifts you up, pushes your mind in a positive direction, and  makes it easier to live your dreams.  The Positive Thinking Network has something positive for everyone. There's Adventure, Positive Music,Positive Self-Talk, Positive Spirituality, Positive Graphics, Positive Podcasts, and much more.
